LARRY KNAPP: Owner/Manager
I was raised on a ranch in Broken Bow, Nebraska and have lived on a ranch or farm for the majority of my life. I started riding at the age of 5 and have trained horse since my early teenage years. I have won numinous local, regional and national championships in the reigning and cow horse field. My son, Lawrence Taylor Knapp, went on to win the youth championship and has worked as an assistant manager at 3 K Ranch for the past three years. We have held numerous roping, cutting, cow horse, reigning, shows and clinics as well as English events at 3 K since the 1990’s and we are now moving into a much closer association with the Idaho Horse Park for various smaller horse competitions and we will be utilizing our 65,000 sq. ft. multipurpose metal event center for horse events and trade shows throughout the year.
Greg was born in Rexburg, Idaho and raised on a cattle ranch in the Little Lost River Valley area, near Howe, Idaho and has been professionally training cutting horses since 1982 which is over 30 years. Greg has won numerous regional and national championships and he has worked in Idaho, Texas, and Utah and is now back in Idaho at 3 K Ranch. Greg is the owner/founder of Greg Smith Cutting Horses and has won in excess of $1,000,000 in the cutting horse industry and has been inducted NCHA Hall of Fame. Jeremy was born near Sacramento, California and raised in Elkhart, Texas and began to work as a cowboy and training horses in 1991. Jeremy has worked in ranches, hay yards and stock yards in Idaho, Nevada and Oregon and began specializing and training performance horses in 1998. Jeremy has won numerous local and regional championships and NRCHA and was the Limited-open Bridle Champion with the NRCHA in 2008, and Reserve World Champion in the Open Bridle Division with the NRCHA in 2011. Jeremy was a multiple champion in the Idaho Horse Council in the round pen challenge and is a NRCHA, NRHA and NCHA money earner. Jeremy also leases stalls and trains and has clinics at 3 K Ranch and is the owner/founder of Jeremy Meader Performance Horses.

Henry was born and raised in Germany and was introduced to training horses by Hartmut Keuchel, a European reining and working cow horse champion. Nable moved to Ireland for 4 years where he worked with horses and came to the United States in 2000 and has been training horses in Arizona, Minnesota, Oregon, and is now working at 3 K Ranch as an independent horse trainer. Daren is an independent event coordinator and designer that has over 28 years experience in creating and producing major corporate events in the Denver, Aspen, Vail, area of Colorado as well as events in southern Idaho. Some of Daren’s clients include the Denver Broncos as well as several regional and national corporations located in the western United States. Daren recently co-produced the NCHA World Series cutting show held at the Idaho Horse Park in Nampa, Idaho which contributed over $10 million to the southwestern Idaho economy. Daren, as an independent contractor, will be leasing the special event center to be located in north west corner of 3 K Ranch and has committed to several trade shows and corporate events for 2012 and 2013.
Mitchell is the founder of Pink by Mitchell, an event company specializing in weddings and other formal non-corporate events. Mitchell has been involved in this industry for over ten years. Mitchell will be leasing the event tent and utilizing our pond area for weddings and non-corporate events in 2012 and 2013 on into the future.
